This individual tournament is open to all Singapore citizens, PRs, and valid pass holders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Event Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dates:<\/strong> 18 July 2026 (U9, U12, U16) and 19 July 2026 (U21, Open, Veteran).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Venue:<\/strong> Bishan Sports Hall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reporting Time:<\/strong> 9:00 AM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Registration Deadline:<\/strong> 30 June 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tournament Format<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>System:<\/strong> Swiss System, 7 rounds (tentative).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Time Control:<\/strong> 15 minutes per player with a 5-second increment per move.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rules:<\/strong> Governed by World Xiangqi Rules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Competition Categories<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Category<\/th><th>Age Requirement<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>U9<\/strong><\/td><td>Born in 2017 or later&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>U12<\/strong><\/td><td>Born 2014 \u2013 2016&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>U16<\/strong><\/td><td>Born 2010 \u2013 2013&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>U21<\/strong><\/td><td>Born 2005 \u2013 2009&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Open<\/strong><\/td><td>No age restriction&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Veteran<\/strong><\/td><td>Born in 1966 or earlier&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Regulations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prizes:<\/strong> Cash prizes and medals will be awarded to the top winners in each category by SportSG and the Singapore Xiangqi General Association.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Attire:<\/strong> Players must dress neatly. Singlets and slippers are prohibited. Only players under 12 or those in school uniforms may wear shorts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Electronic Devices:<\/strong> Mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited and must be switched off.
